U znak protesta protiv penzijske reforme vladajuće koalicije predvođene „levičarskom” Sirizom, juče je održan generalni štrajk. Vlada Aleksisa Ciprasa sprovela je reforme kao deo mera koje je Trojka zahtevala radi odmrzavanja finansijske pomoći. Reforme predviđaju smanjenje penzija od 35% do 40%, povećanje doprinosa, kao i podizanje starosne granice za penzionisanje na 67 godina.
Osim ovih mera, povećana je cena goriva kao i poreza za poljoprivrednike.1 Iz tog razloga su se protestu pridružili i poljoprovrednici.2
