Pesmu napisao i otpevao Kaunt Ozi, jamajkanski Rastafari pripadnik i jedan od najznačajnijih pesnika muzičara (neo)kolonijalne Jamajke. “Four Hundred Years” objavljena je 1973. godine na albumu “Grounation”.
